I didn't set out to start a firm. I set out to solve a problem I kept seeing.

Over 25 years in finance across public accounting, Fortune 100 companies, and PE and VC-backed businesses, I watched great companies struggle not because their product wasn't working or their team wasn't talented, but because their finance function wasn't keeping pace. The reporting was lagging. The forecasts weren't telling the right story. The board was asking questions nobody could answer confidently.

And the companies who needed the most help were often the ones who couldn't yet afford a full-time CFO or staff to fix it.

That's the problem Roots CFO exists to solve.

My background spans some of the most demanding finance environments you can work in. I've led finance organizations inside Thermo Fisher Scientific and United Technologies, global organizations doing over $1B in revenue, and embedded into high-growth startups and PE-backed businesses navigating some of their most complex moments. I've helped companies scale 10X, guided restructurings and recapitalizations, and helped raise $175M+ across multiple companies and stages. Most recently as CFO of a SaaS VC backed healthcare company, I led financing transactions of ~$100M and built the finance infrastructure to support commercialization.

My experience spans Healthcare, Life Sciences, Biotech, Aerospace and Defense, Health and Wellness, and Industrial Equipment, industries where financial complexity is real and the margin for error is low.

What drives me is the intersection of finance, strategy, and people. I genuinely love partnering with founders and operators, making complex simple, building the infrastructure that gives leaders clarity, and being the finance partner in the room who actually moves things forward.
